How configure my email account with Windows Live Mail (2012 version)?


Required

  1. Your email address @ b2b2c.ca.
  2. Your password for this email account.

You can find this information on your B2B2C Subscriber Area.

Please follow the steps below:

  • Open the Windows Live Mail app.
  • Click on Account.
  • On the top left of the page, click on Email.

Fill in the following fields based on your choice of configurations:  POP or IMAP. If you’re unsure of what you should select, we recommend IMAP. Follow the links at the bottom of this page for the POP and IMAP servers for a simple description of both.

POP

Fill in the following fields in the Incoming server information section:

  • Select POP in the box Server type.
  • Enter pop.b2b2c.ca in the box Server address.
  • Enter 110 in the box Port.
  • Unchecked the box Requires a secure connection (SSL).

Fill in the following fields in the Outgoing server information.

  • Enter smtp.b2b2c.ca in the box Server address. 
  • Enter 465 in the box Port.
  • Check the box Requires a secure connection (SSL).
  • Check the box Requires authentification. 
  • Select Clear text in the box Authenticate using.
  • Enter a Name in the box Logon user name.
  • Click on Next.

IMAP

Fill in the following fields in the Incoming server information:

  • Select IMAP in the box Server type.
  • Enter pop.b2b2c.ca in the box Server address.
  • Enter 143 in the box Port.
  • Unchecked the box Requires a secure connection (SSL).

Fill in the following fields in the Outgoing server information.

  • Enter smtp.b2b2c.ca in the box Server address. 
  • Enter 465 in the box Port.
  • Check the box Requires a secure connection (SSL).
  • Check the box Requires authentification. 
  • Select Clear text in the box Authenticate using.
  • Enter a Name in the box Logon user name.
  • Click on Next.

Click on Finish.
