How to update the payment method for your account?

If you want to update your payment method, go to the “My Account” section and click on the “My Information” tab in your Subscriber Area. Click on the Change  link located under the payment method. The “Change payment method” page will be displayed.

On this page, you will see the payment information associated to your account and in the New payment method section, you will be offered one or more options, depending on your situation. Please note that B2B2C reserves the right to limit the availability of some options:

New credit card

If the expiration date of your current card has changed, use the Credit card update option instead. To change the card, fill in the following information:

  • New card number
  • Expiration date
  • CVV (see illustration below)
  • Cardholder name
  • Civic number
  • Postal Code

The CVV (Card Verification Value) is a security feature to ensure that the credit card is in your possession.

Visa and MasterCard: the CVV consists of 3 digits located on the back of the credit card.

AMEX: The CVV is located on the front of the board, on the right, and has 4 digits.

Credit card update

If the card numbers have changed, use the New credit card option instead.

If it is the same card number, then simply enter the new expiry date.

Pre-authorized debit (PPA) (Only available for commercial accounts)

Fill in the transit number, the account number and select the type of account. Follow the instructions in the illustration below:

When will the change be applied to your account?

Regardless of the option you choose, you will be notified immediately if the change is made or if a request has been made on your behalf to B2B2C. In this later case, there may be a delay of a few business days. The current payment method remains active in the meantime.

Please note that if you are changing to a new credit card or updating your  current credit card, a $1.00 charge will be made to validate the new card.  If this payment is accepted, this amount will be refunded immediately and the change of payment method will be applied immediately. If the debit is refused, an error message will be displayed on the screen and no change will be made to your payment method.
